I am a documentary director and producer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

My feature documentaries have premiered and won awards at major festivals worldwide, including Sundance, CPH:DOX, and IDFA.

With a background in broadcast journalism, I have created long-form films for BBC, PBS, CNN, ARTE, and others. I spent nearly a decade in China, producing films in challenging environments, such as the Chinese CDC during COVID vaccine development, Huawei boardrooms amid US sanctions, and Wuhan at the height of the pandemic. For this work, I received the broadcast equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize.

Previously, I made radio documentaries for the BBC, worked as a Chinese interpreter, and lived in rural Sichuan province while on a Fulbright scholarship. For years, I played saxophone with 热超波, the first ska-band in the Chinese music scene.
